Cllr Sarah Wissler would like to thank all the community members who came out in force to assist. "The Bassonia CPF were first on the scene helping to evacuate residents trapped in their homes, they did an amazing job. The residents came to help clean up the devastation left behind, bringing spades, brooms, wheelbarrows and their willing hands and pitched in where needed. Food was provided and accommodation offered. Essentials were donated. My ward community were amazing, the just astound me with their community spirit every time they are called on. They never fail to support and stand together. I am so grateful for them all.
A big thank you to Cllrs and community members from Ward 54 and Ward 56 who also came out to assist. What an amazing community spirit we have in the South of Joburg".
